baileybean
I got up early this morning, made coffee, watched a movie (it’s clear I have an unhealthy obsession with John Cusak) read my journal, thought about taking a shower, washing the dog, cleaning the bathroom and doing the dishes (but didn’t). Tried to clip my basset hound’s nails (which he hates) and contemplated introducing to him the PediPaws™ I bought lastnight at the local Walgreens but I didn’t have the heart…maybe later today we’ll try again.
I got my gym clothes and sneakers on (I had to go out to the car and rescue them from my gym bag—which is always in the car but rarely makes it into the gym!) THEN, I remember the Thursday post on decor8 that I missed…somehow…and Tip #3 came to light…keep a journal…awesome! I left a comment and it got a little windy (I AM a little windy, I’m sure you have noticed) I am including my comment in this post below…but please go read Holly’s post, it’s a really good one, I like the way she writes. Wow, the caffeine is really setting in today! I need to stop for now and go for my walk, I’m taking my sidekick, BaileyBean, along. (I have no choice, really, he knows what sneakers are)
my comment:
I list things like a crazy person, and my journal is a series of lists and plans and thoughts (in list form) with little gestural doodles next to them…I underline things a lot and I re-read my “journal” everyday, gain more insight and on the next clean page start another type of list, my significant other says I’m the only one he knows that gets in bed with a notebook every night. But I can’t be the only one! My ex husband found my lists once and basically banned them, no more lists “it’s not normal”. No surprise he’s out of the picture, huh!? I love my journal though, it’s so beneficial to me I would never allow someone to take it away again…this comment is turning into a blog post (damn coffee) anyways, here’s my list: Professions I would do if I knew I wouldn’t fail: 1. write books, movies, heck…commercials… anything 2. children’s book illustrator/writer 3. art therapist 4. all around designer of everything! 5. world’s best mom
….that’s what i have so far…for now I’m going on a walk (tip #2) I’m sure when I get back I’ll have more!
